Six neighbourhoods, six ways to taste Paris.
Each guided tour follows one food-loving Paris neighbourhood by pedal-assist electric bike, from one artisan to the next. Small groups, no more than five guests per guide, in French or English.
Le Marais
Le Marais is one of the few Paris neighbourhoods that kept its pre-Haussmann street plan: narrow lanes, seventeenth-century mansions, and two centuries of layered migrations you can still read in the shop windows. Wander Gourmet takes you through it in a small group, by pedal-assist electric bike, for two, three or four artisan houses of the neighbourhood, depending on the format you choose.Saint-Germain-des-Prés
Saint-Germain-des-Prés takes its name from an abbey founded in the sixth century, whose bell tower is among the oldest in Paris. Farmland, then a great trading fair, then the quarter of printers, booksellers and post-war cafés: this ground has changed trade several times. Wander Gourmet accompanies you through it by pedal-assist electric bike, for two, three or four houses, depending on the format, with artisans of bread, cheese and chocolate.Montmartre
Montmartre is best tasted from the bottom up. Wander Gourmet takes you through the Butte in a small group, by pedal-assist electric bike, from one artisan to the next: a sourdough baker, a cheesemonger who ages their own, a neighbourhood wine merchant, a pastry chef. The alcohol tasting is optional, can be replaced by a soft drink, and is never served to minors. Up to five guests per guide, in English or French. The slopes are the bike's job, not yours, and part of the route is covered on foot, bike in hand.Bastille and Aligre
Bastille and Aligre are the Paris that does its shopping. Around the square, the old furniture-makers' faubourg; a few streets away, one of the liveliest markets in the city and its covered hall. Wander Gourmet takes you there in a small group, by pedal-assist electric bike, from the market stalls to the counter of a neighbourhood wine bar. The alcohol tasting is optional, can be replaced by a soft drink, and is never served to minors. Up to five guests per guide, in English or French.Belleville
Belleville climbs. That is exactly why a pedal-assist electric bike makes sense here: you get up the slopes of the old village without spending your appetite, and in half a day you link artisans a walking tour would never put together. Wander Gourmet accompanies you in a small group, five guests at most per guide, from one house to the next.Canal Saint-Martin
A little over four kilometres of water in the middle of Paris, a chain of locks, metal footbridges and swing bridges: Canal Saint-Martin is a thread you follow naturally by bike. Wander Gourmet accompanies you along the quays in a small group, five guests at most per guide, from a signature viennoiserie to a creative pastry.Wander Gourmet designs and guides the tour. Each tasting is prepared and served by the artisan who welcomes you, on their own premises. Wander Gourmet neither prepares nor handles any food. You may declare allergies and intolerances when booking, on an optional basis; we pass the information on before the tour, without any guarantee that traces can be excluded and without being able to promise a tour free of a given allergen. Any alcoholic drinks remain optional, are never served to minors, and no alcohol is tasted while riding. French law requires the following notice: L'abus d'alcool est dangereux pour la santé, à consommer avec modération.
